Heyyylowww peeps!

Well I actually did not expect to blog anytime soon

Cause with the internet speed I'm given 

And the starting of my university life

Blogging just seems to be a mission impossible over here

But I finished my assignments weeks before the due date

So... Here I am! :D

There was a 5 day holiday last week so I went back home

And it's proven

Nowhere will ever feel more comfortable than home

I miss my family, my house, my room, my car, the food and the internet speed

I always thought I'm not gonna get homesick

Since the university is merely a 2 and a half hour drive from home

But that's not true. 

No matter how far/near you are from home, if you're not living in it, you're gonna get home sick

Well at least that's the case for me

After the 5 days break, the first thing that welcomed me back to the hostel, is a cold

I caught a cold on the very first day back here

It's like my body saying: "Dude, go home!"

That is when I really feel the homesick kicking in

I gotta take the meds on my own, remind myself in the next 8 hours

Take vitamin supplements, Check body temperature.

All by my own.

My mom is not here to make sure I'm okay,

My dad is not here to make sure I have an appetite

My brother is not here to make sure I'm not dead.. yet.. :O

But I guess this is a part of growing up

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?

Ohh and here's an advice to everyone.

Always bring enough cash for grocery shopping

Because you wouldn't know when your credit card cannot be authorized

I almost got a heart attack yesterday, here's a thank you note to my mom for teaching me to keep emergency money with me :D

Ohh and one of my lecturers wants us to do a sketch instead of a presentation

On a exam week

The sketch is worth 15% for our final course grade

Great. Just great.

Did I mention we should dress up for the sketch too? 

But at least my group members were cooperating on this

Hopefully this sketch is gonna turn out to be a good one.

I guess I can conclude that this week haven't been great

But it's all gonna be fine cause

Tough time doesn't last, tough people do :D

University Week 1

Hey peeps!

So I've been M-I-A here for a while.

Do you guys miss me? :P

If you've read my previous post you'll know that I'm officially a university student now!

Hooray to University!

Also I'm now living in a hostel, cause the University I go to is in a different state :(

200km , 124 miles away

It's not that far I guess :)

Anyway the first week of university is over

Starting from tomorrow, it's the 2nd week

I just wanna share how it went with you guys :)

Well, for starters,

It's only been a week and I already have 4 assignments on hold

Good thing is that there's absolutely no entertainment around here

The internet speed is so poor you can't open 4 webpage at the same time

Not to mention downloading movies or going on YouTube

So I've got all the time in the world :D

I don't really know if I should be happy or sad over this fact

University is a place where you have to learn about teamwork

Cause most of the assignments requires 4-5 group members

Sometimes I just wish I could duplicate myself and Michelle :O

But since the technology today cannot make that happen, and I don't really know anybody here

The random team forming mode is on

And you just don't know when you're suddenly group members with some serious douchebags

This is the time where you gotta calm down and tell yourself this

But thankfully I still have Michelle here with me

So at least when this shit happens

We will stick together and get things done :)

Secondly, my transportation is no longer my car :(

There's 16000 people in the university and roughly 15000 of them ride a bike

So... My journey of bike riding begins!

I'm really grateful that my dad taught me how to ride when I was a kid

Cause I would die walking to the university

The distance of my hostel to the university gate is 1km

From the gate to the lecture theatre is about 2km

The distance the the library is almost 2.5km

Ohh and did I mention it's 50% uphill?

Even though I'm riding a bike,

I can't help but feel this once again 

And lastly, THE WEATHER

The weather here is so hot I got sunburnt badly the first day 

So from snow white, I'm now pocahontas

That is not a joke, I wish it was.

There's also a few days that I have a 3 hour break in between classes

 3 hours is a lot, so I would go home and cook lunch

Every time after coming back from class, the first thing I do is to bathe

Well that's because I will be bathing in my sweat

That is why I shower more than 3 times per day in average

The hostel was kind enough to provided us water heater

But I've never used it once

So I really wouldn't know if it's broken or anything

This place is still stuffy at night, so I've never used my blanket too!

Also with this weather, my hair became so dry and it turns frizzy

I love my hair... a lot

Hence, cue the feelings again

Even though all that is hard to deal with,

The lecturers here are pretty good and helpful

So I guess that's the price I gotta pay other than my tuition fees

And now I'm cooking my meals!

So I guess it's a good thing!

At least I'm gonna be healthy :)

Randooooom

I don't know if it's just me 

But my random thoughts and creativity go sky high at midnight

So I decided to open my eyes and turn on the computer and blog

I have a sudden realisation that I'm turning 20 next year

I'm still trying to let that sink in 

In the meantime 

BOW DOWN TO CAT NORRIS HAHAHAH!

I'm getting a little worried

How did time passes so quickly?

How did I just turn 19?

The only evidence is that I have a car and a driving license 

And that it says so on my identity card?

Is it possible that some evil dude have been secretly stealing time?

The truth is we're just like... 15?

Don't judge me that dude in Despicable Me stole a freaking moon

And don't say that all cartoons are imaginary

How do you explain this picture then?

HUH?

Shit just got real :O

So, I'm not going to Hogwarts. Great. Just great.

Nope. It isn't

Well like it or not, those times are gone

I'm still turning 20 next year

So mind as well make the best of it

On the bright side, I could enter the casino real soon!

I shall conclude that I'm a optimist

I'm starting to think that this post is almost meaningless

Hmm who cares?

Ohh before I go back to sleep

Depart

I've been receiving a lot of invites lately

Asking if I could come hang out before they had to depart to study

So I guess this is one of the growing-up phase

Departing with friends to different places

To continue the journey of life 

Back in primary school I always imagine that me and my friends would all grow up

Go to the same high school

Then have a job and live a same big house

I think those were the good times

After that we all went to different high schools

Those dreams were left there. Inside our memory

I think I'm drifting to the emotional side now

-Snap back to reality-

So I went out with my primary school friends and out of my expectations,

They didn't change much

They're still really fun to be around with, and I miss all of them so much

It's feels like we're back to primary school again

We talk about which teacher that we didn't like and what did they do that piss us off

What kinda pranks that we pulled and what punishment did we get

A part of me wishes that I was there when those things happened

When we're all growing up,

We tend to be more serious about stuff

Our topic of discussion became what's happening in the world, our country, the community

I'm glad that the technology nowadays made it easier for us to stay connected

And of course, I'm grateful that I bumped into these awesome people when I was young

My childhood was perfect :)

So to all my friends out there

No matter how long have we been missing out
It's been nice knowing you and 

I wish you all the best to whatever you're gonna do in your life :)
